Hiwa Saeed Yasin sells blankets, duvets, bedsheets, pillows and pillowcases in Erbil. Our office is one you can walk into rather than a showroom that needs an appointment: everything on this site is something you can come in, unfold, and put your hands on before you decide. We supply households and businesses alike.
What we sell
Everything that goes on a bed, and nothing that does not, because doing that properly takes all of our attention. Blankets in wool, cotton, linen and plush, in every size from a cot to a king bed. Duvets in goose down, wool and hollow-fibre, including an all-season pair that clips together for the coldest months. Bedsheets as full sets — sateen, percale, washed linen and brushed flannel. Pillows filled with down, memory foam or hollow-fibre, including the long bolsters for floor seating. And pillowcases in cotton sateen, washed linen and embroidered cotton, sold in pairs.
Chosen for the weather here
Erbil asks two completely different things of a household through the year. In July you want a single layer of woven cotton that lets the air through and nothing more. In January, in a room that is not heated all night, you want brushed wool heavy enough to stay where you put it. Most shops stock for one of those and let you work the rest out yourself.
A photograph cannot show weight, and weight is most of what separates a summer blanket from a winter one. So the website shows you what a piece looks like, and the rest — how heavy it is, what it is filled with, what sizes it comes in — is a question worth asking us, or worth answering with your own hands in the office.
Made to order
Some of what we do is not on the shelf. Bolster pillows are filled to the firmness you ask for, and embroidered pillowcases have their border colour chosen with you. Made-to-order pieces take a little longer and are made to your specification. Send us a message and we will tell you honestly how long.
Why there are no prices here
Prices move with the season, the size and what is available at the time, and a price list that is three months out of date is worse than none at all. Send us the piece you like instead — every photograph on this site has its own link — and you get the price the same day, for that size, that colour, today.
